On Friday night our Ward had a Father and Son camp out. George and Ian left at 5pm to head for the camp grounds. Now after my husbands full training in the Army over the last few months they were well equipped to live out in the wilderness a few days or months if need be. The compasses, water packs, first aide kits, and all types of readiness gear. However, around 5:30pm I received a call from my husband, where he begin to tell that he and Ian would be sleeping under the stars. Yes, they had forgotten the tent. I had my moments of laughter after that one.
My favorite picture is the two of them playing with the flash that night in the tent.
Around 4am that morning George could tell the wind was changing so he and Ian packed up the camping gear and placed it in the van and slept the remaining time in the van. Well my man was right because around 4:30am it started to rain.
