Zumbrennen-Colby Christmas

Christmas started on Christmas Eve for us when we watched the movie; "A Christmas Story" and the kids opened up one gift. We always get them Pajamas to wear on Christmas morning. Then we went to bed around 11pm in time before Santa arrived. The kids awoke around 8am. We started a new tradition where we turned off all the lights except the one over the Nativity. We then had the kids close their eyes and we sat them at the table not facing the living room where Santa had been but instead had them face the nativity. We then read the Story of Christ's birth and talked about why we give and receive gifts on this day. Afterwards, we let the kids turn around and see what Santa had brought. I have to say the theme was Army, sports, games, and electronics. We received a lot of great gifts from each other and from family members. Thank you. Our house is now just starting to come back to an order zone.
